The HDBaseT technology enables a single LAN cable to replace multiple cables and connectors in the home entertainment and business environment. HDBaseT uses an asymmetric method to send video, audio Power and IR from the source to the display through a network cable. Based on the latest HDBaseT technology, Cable Matters HDBaseT HDMI Extender extends HDMI video and audio, Power and IR over a CAT6 cable up to 230 ft (70m). It supports 3D, HDCP as well as full HDMI specifications such as Deep Color, 1080p Full HD and compressed 7.1 audio.
